FAQ

Are there any free Fortnite shop codes right now?
No. There are no active Fortnite shop codes we have verified as of November 3, 2026. We only list a code after it appears on fortnite.com/news, the @FortniteGame account on X or an Epic Help page.
Where do I redeem a Fortnite code?
Fortnite gift cards go to epicgames.com/redeem (or scan the QR code on the card). Older V-Bucks cards go to fortnite.com/vbuckscard. Other Epic product codes go to store.epicgames.com/redeem, which is where fortnite.com/redeem currently sends you.
Does a creator code give me a discount in the Fortnite Item Shop?
No. A Support-A-Creator code does not lower the price. Epic's FAQ says 5% of the value of eligible in-game purchases made with the code is credited to that creator.
Can I use a creator code on Fortnite Crew?
No. Epic Help says Support-A-Creator codes cannot be used to purchase Fortnite Crew. They apply to Item Shop purchases with earned or purchased V-Bucks and most real-money offers.
Are free V-Bucks generators real?
No. Epic Help tells players not to trust offers of free V-Bucks on external websites. Real offers appear in the Epic Games Store or on Epic's official websites and social channels.

Are there any active Fortnite shop codes right now?

There are no active Fortnite shop codes we have verified as of November 3, 2026. We only list a code after it appears on fortnite.com/news, the @FortniteGame account on X or an Epic Help redeem page, and no code has passed that check. Real codes come from gift cards, V-Bucks cards and official promotions.

The phrase “Fortnite shop code” is used for three different things: a prepaid card PIN, a promotional code for a specific item, and a Support-A-Creator code typed into the Item Shop. Only the first two unlock anything for you. The third is a way to send a small share of your spending to a streamer, and it never makes items cheaper.

The rare Pirate Shop Token that media report in the Treasure Hunters mini season is an in-game drop, not a code you type anywhere. Epic has not published an official page for it yet; our Pirate Shop Token guide tracks what is and is not confirmed.

Where do real Fortnite store codes come from, and where do you enter them?

Real Fortnite store codes come from physical or digital retail cards and from promotions Epic announces itself. Each type has its own official entry point, listed in Epic Help. Entering a code on any page not run by Epic is the fastest way to lose both the code and your account.

Code type Where it comes from Where to enter it
Fortnite gift card (16-digit PIN) Retail stores, physical or digital Scan the QR code on the card, or epicgames.com/redeem
V-Bucks card (older format) Retail stores, still sold in some regions fortnite.com/vbuckscard
Product or promo code for an item or game Official Epic promotions, bundles, retail DVDs store.epicgames.com/redeem (fortnite.com/redeem currently forwards here)
Support-A-Creator code A streamer or content creator in the program In-game Shop tab, Support-A-Creator button at the bottom; or the star banner on the web Item Shop

Epic Help says Fortnite gift cards are replacing V-Bucks cards. The two work differently: a V-Bucks card adds a fixed amount of V-Bucks, while a Fortnite gift card adds money to your Epic account balance, which you then spend on V-Bucks, Crew or other Epic purchases.

How do you redeem a Fortnite gift card or V-Bucks card?

To redeem a Fortnite gift card, scan its QR code or enter the PIN at epicgames.com/redeem, sign in with the account you play on, confirm and select Redeem now. A V-Bucks card instead goes through fortnite.com/vbuckscard, where you pick the platform that should receive the V-Bucks.

Steps from Epic Help for a Fortnite gift card:

  1. Scan the QR code on the back and select Redeem, or go to epicgames.com/redeem and type the PIN.
  2. Sign in with your Epic Games account or the console account you play on.
  3. Confirm the account details, link any extra accounts if prompted, then select Redeem now.

Steps for an older V-Bucks card:

  1. Check in Epic account settings that the display name matches your in-game name.
  2. Open fortnite.com/vbuckscard and select Get Started.
  3. Scratch the back gently, enter the PIN without dashes, choose your platform and confirm.

On Xbox and PlayStation, the V-Bucks card flow generates a second 12- or 25-character code that you must enter in your Microsoft or Sony account to finish. Epic recommends keeping the purchase receipt until redemption is complete, because support may ask for it. Once the balance lands, check current costs in our Fortnite shop prices guide and today’s rotation on the Item Shop today page.

What are Fortnite shop creator codes, and do they still work?

Creator codes are part of Epic’s Support-A-Creator program. Epic’s FAQ says accepted creators get 5% of the value of eligible in-game purchases made with their code, counted toward a $100 USD payout minimum. You still pay the normal price. Epic Help in 2026 still describes the code button in the Item Shop.

Details from Epic’s own pages:

  • What counts: purchases made with earned or purchased V-Bucks, plus most real-money offers. Epic’s example: supporters spending 50,000 V-Bucks puts $25 toward the creator’s minimum.
  • What does not count: Epic Help says codes cannot be used to purchase Fortnite Crew.
  • How to enter one: open the Shop tab, select Support-A-Creator at the bottom, type the code (not case sensitive), select Search and wait for the check mark. On the web Item Shop, use the banner with the star.
  • Who can get one: adult creators with 1,000+ followers on YouTube, Twitch, X, TikTok or VK, paid through Hyperwallet.

Reports differ on how the 2023 changes affected the Item Shop. When Epic introduced the Creator Economy 2.0 in March 2023, island creators moved to engagement payouts, and some outlets reported the code being removed from the Item Shop. Epic’s current FAQ says the program “has returned to its roots” as an affiliate program for streamers and social creators, and Epic’s help pages still describe adding a code in the shop. We treat the Epic pages as current.

How do you spot fake Fortnite shop codes and free V-Bucks scams?

Any site offering free V-Bucks, a code generator or a “secret shop code” is a scam. Epic Help says not to trust offers of free V-Bucks on external websites, and that real offers appear only in the Epic Games Store or on Epic’s official websites and social channels.

Warning signs that a code or site is fake:

  • It promises free V-Bucks, skins or a discount on the whole Item Shop.
  • It asks you to complete a survey, download an app or “verify you are human” before showing the code.
  • It asks for your Epic login, or for a gift card PIN you already own.
  • The code only appears in comments, Discord messages or video descriptions, never on fortnite.com/news.

Why don’t we list unconfirmed or circulating Fortnite codes?

We do not list codes that circulate on social media, video titles or code-list sites without an official Epic source. A code appears on this page only after Epic posts it on fortnite.com/news, @FortniteGame on X or an Epic Help article, together with its reward and expiry. Until then, treat any “new Fortnite shop code” as fake or expired.

For what is actually for sale, use the shop history archive and tomorrow’s shop leaks, and check the Item Shop reset time so you know when a new rotation lands.
