FAQ

What time does the Fortnite shop update?
Epic Help says the in-game Item Shop and the Webshop refresh at around 00:00 GMT (UTC) every day. The exact minute can drift a little, so treat it as approximate.
What time does the Fortnite shop reset in EST?
In winter (after US daylight saving time ended on November 1, 2026) the reset lands at 7 PM EST on the previous calendar day. During US daylight saving time it is 8 PM EDT.
What time does the Fortnite shop update in the UK?
In winter the UK is on GMT, so the shop updates at midnight (00:00). During British Summer Time it updates at 1 AM BST.
Does every item leave the shop at each reset?
No. Community guides report that some items and whole sections stay for more than one day, while others leave after a single cycle. Epic has not published fixed durations, so do not assume an item will still be there tomorrow.
Did the Yeat Icon Series bundle drop outside the normal reset?
No, based on reports. It was scheduled for October 15, 2026 at 8 PM ET, which was 00:00 UTC on October 16 because the US was still on daylight saving time. That is the normal daily reset.

What time does the Fortnite shop update each day?

The Fortnite shop update time is around 00:00 GMT (UTC) every day. Epic’s own help article says both the in-game Item Shop and the Webshop refresh “at around 0:00 AM GMT”, and it points players to the “About Shop” panel inside the Item Shop for the exact time in their own region.

That one global moment is the only official anchor. Everything else on this page, including the time-zone table below, is a conversion of 00:00 UTC into local clocks. Because the reset is tied to UTC and not to any local time, the local hour moves whenever your country switches between summer and winter time. That is why the Fortnite shop change time seems to “jump” by an hour twice a year in the US, UK and Europe.

The word “around” matters. Epic does not promise a to-the-second reset, so if the shop has not changed at exactly midnight UTC, give it a few minutes before assuming something is wrong. To see what is live right now, use our Fortnite Item Shop today page.

When does the Fortnite shop reset in my time zone?

In early November 2026, the Fortnite item shop reset time is 7 PM ET, 6 PM CT, 5 PM MT and 4 PM PT on the previous evening, midnight in the UK, 1 AM in Central Europe, 9 PM in Brazil, 5:30 AM in India, 9 AM in Japan and 11 AM in Sydney.

The table below shows the current winter values (valid now) next to the summer values, so you know what changes after the next clock switch. US daylight saving time ended on November 1, 2026, and UK/EU summer time ended on October 25, 2026. Each row was checked against the IANA time-zone database for 00:00 UTC on November 4 and July 4, 2026.

Region Now (Nov 2026, winter) Summer value Calendar day
US Eastern (ET) 7:00 PM EST 8:00 PM EDT Previous day
US Central (CT) 6:00 PM CST 7:00 PM CDT Previous day
US Mountain (MT) 5:00 PM MST 6:00 PM MDT (Arizona stays 5:00 PM) Previous day
US Pacific (PT) 4:00 PM PST 5:00 PM PDT Previous day
UK 12:00 AM GMT 1:00 AM BST Same day
Central Europe (CET) 1:00 AM CET 2:00 AM CEST Same day
Brazil, São Paulo (BRT) 9:00 PM BRT 9:00 PM BRT (no DST) Previous day
India (IST) 5:30 AM IST 5:30 AM IST (no DST) Same day
Japan (JST) 9:00 AM JST 9:00 AM JST (no DST) Same day
Sydney (AEDT / AEST) 11:00 AM AEDT 10:00 AM AEST (southern winter) Same day

Two details catch people out. First, Sydney runs the opposite way to the Northern Hemisphere: it is on daylight time (AEDT) right now, so the reset is an hour later there in November than in July. Second, everyone in the Americas sees the “new day” shop on the evening before. If a leak says an item arrives on a given date, players in the US and Brazil will usually see it the night before that date.

Community guides such as The Spike and Esports.net publish the same pattern (7 PM EST / 8 PM EDT, 12 AM GMT / 1 AM BST), which lines up with Epic’s 00:00 GMT statement.

How does the Fortnite shop rotation schedule work?

Fortnite’s shop rotation runs on that daily 00:00 UTC cycle, but a reset does not mean every item is replaced. Community guides report that some cosmetics and even whole sections stay for several days, especially collaborations, while others leave after one cycle. Epic has not published a fixed rotation schedule or per-item durations.

What the sources do support:

  • The shop refreshes once a day at the global reset (Epic Help).
  • After a reset, some cosmetics leave, some stay for another cycle and new ones appear (The Spike).
  • Multi-day stays are common for collabs and some full sections (Esports.net).

What is NOT confirmed:

  • How many days any specific item or section will stay.
  • A public, official calendar for the Fortnite shop schedule.
  • When a given older item will return. Our Fortnite shop history page is the best way to see past appearances, but history is not a promise.

Do big collabs drop at a different time than the daily reset?

Usually not, based on recent examples. The Yeat Icon Series bundle was reported as scheduled for October 15, 2026 at 8 PM ET, which was exactly 00:00 UTC on October 16 because the US was still on daylight saving time. In other words, it arrived with the normal daily reset.

That example is useful because it explains a common source of confusion. Coverage written from a US perspective said “October 15”, while players in Europe and Asia saw the bundle on October 16. Both were correct; they were describing the same global moment. If Epic announces a different specific time for a future launch, follow that announcement over the general rule on this page.

For upcoming items, see Fortnite shop tomorrow leaks. Leaked rotations are unofficial and can change before the reset.

Is there a Fortnite shop update today during Treasure Hunters?

Yes, the daily refresh continues during the Treasure Hunters mini season that launched with v43.00 on November 1, 2026. Nothing in Epic’s help article suggests the season changes the 00:00 GMT reset time. Today’s update lands at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT on November 3, which is 00:00 UTC on November 4.

If you are hunting for the reported Pirate Shop Token, note that it is tied to eligible Item Shop cosmetics, so the daily rotation decides what you can unlock with it. Read our Pirate Shop Token guide for what is and is not confirmed, and check Fortnite shop codes for creator code basics before you spend V-Bucks.

The quickest personal check is still in the game: open the Item Shop and select “About Shop”, which Epic says shows the refresh time for your region.
